Lifeline Nursing Services Ltd. is Lincolnshire's longest established health care company. The business now employs approximately 150 full and part-time staff. With 125 beds and 35 retirement bungalows Lifeline is a substantial employer and provider of care in Lincolnshire.
The Company maintains that the staff are its most valuable asset and firmly believes that education is the key to providing the highest quality care. All newly employed staff undergo a twelve week induction period, which is followed up with an ongoing education programme. The achievement of National Vocational Qualification's are encouraged and qualified nurses are given every assistance to meet the requirement of PREP. Through various channels of communication all staff are made aware of the aims of the Company and given an opportunity to put forward ideas for improvements. Lifeline has also achieved the Investors In People Award.
St. Edmund's and St. Claire's nursing homes include retirement properties. They are purpose built, one or two bedroomed bungalows, designed specifically for people over the age of fifty-five. The properties are connected to the nursing home via a call system, and a warden visits daily, allowing people to maintain their independence yet have the reassurance of help, close at hand, if required. All external maintenance and decoration, gardening, window cleaning and use of the facilities of the nursing home are included within a monthly service charge. Meals, personal care and domestic help can be provided. Adjacent are communal gardens and private car parking.
St. John's Nursing Home is a 37-bed purpose built nursing home in Boston. St. Johns has an enviable reputation for providing sensitive, quality care to the elderly, severely mentally ill. Respite care often goes hand in hand with day care and clients are familiar with the home if they eventually need long term nursing care. The environment has been designed specifically to meet the needs of this specialist client group enabling them to lead as independent a life as possible. All staff who work within the home receive training and education in the care of this special group of people.
