Care
Delivery
All care is delivered according to a care plan. Initially an assessment of the residents needs is carried out. This may take several days as we need to be sure that we have a good understanding of the individual. Relatives, and residents, are encouraged to be a part of this assessment process and also play a part in the planning of care.
From the assessment, a plan of care is developed and regularly reviewed to ensure it is relevant to the residents' needs.
A named nurse system is in operation. This means that one nurse is responsible for ensuring that care is delivered according to the plan. This allows the resident, relatives, Doctors etc. to identify with one person, who can answer any question regarding the care of the individual.
All residents are encouraged, where practical to remain with their family doctor who will continue to provide for their medical needs.
Other facilities such as hairdressing and chiropody are available; there may be a separate charge for these.
Dentistry and optical services are also available either through the residents own practitioner or other local services.
